Miranda Laurence

Miranda has worked across a number of roles in the arts sector since 2009, with a focus on dance and participatory arts, and artist development.

Miranda brings an inquiring mind, a facility for research and writing, a curiosity, and a keen sense of high quality artistic practice, to all her work.

She is as comfortable with supporting artists and arts companies with strategic development as she is devising and project managing a community arts intervention. She is able to work with you on structuring and writing a funding application, and can be by your side during the artistic process in her role as a dramaturg.

Miranda is also a Relational Dynamics coach (accredited in June 2017 by CAW). She can offer coaching sessions to artists and other individuals to facilitate their thinking about career options, goals and professional development needs. She uses her coaching skills within her dramaturgy and producing roles.

Miranda is always excited to be approached about new collaborations, proposals of projects and other opportunities. She is particularly interested in establishing longer-term partnerships with artists or companies in the capacity of producer or dramaturg. She is equally available for shorter-term work, e.g. one-off coaching sessions, or trouble-shooting on funding applications.

Her strengths and areas of particular interest includes community engagement and working with non-professionals; work with and for people with disabilities; devising and multi-disciplinary work; links with academia; site-specific and site-responsive work; choreographer-performer solo work.
