I made my professional debut at The Lyric Theatre in Belfast, my home city, in 1970 and my TV debut later that year for Irish National Television (RTE). After several years I abandoned my acting career to 'earn a living'. I returned 20 years ago and my career has been primarily on stage. I have performed in Shakespeare productions in Oxford, Cambridge and Shakespeare's Globe in London. I've done lots of independent films, commercials and appeared most recently in BBC series Moving On.
