Oxfordshire Theatre Makers Showcase: emanate

Oxfordshire Theatre Makers were delighted to produce the first ever emanate showcase for theatre in Oxford in March 2018.

​

Oxfordshire based companies who performed 15 minute extracts of tour-ready work in front of an audience of venue managers, producers, funders, & members of OTM were:

Justice in Motion - Bound

Human Story Theatre - Connie’s Colander

Mandala Theatre Company - Castaways

Chris Michael - The Immigrant

UnderConstruction Theatre - 6 Women

Kuumba Nia Arts -  Finding Beulah

The companies were chosen by a panel of experienced industry professionals from a longlist of applicants, to perform and pitch their productions at emanate with the aim of getting them booked for national touring. Visiting venues were also invited to pitch their organisations and the work they do.

 

In the run up to emanate, OTM also hosted masterclasses in partnership with Dance In Oxford, for all our members, on Tour Booking, Pitching Your Work & Evaluating your work, led by industry experts, Mark Makin (House & Makin Projects), Annabel Turpin (ARC Stockton) & Ben Gammon (Ben Gammon Consulting)

emanate was supported by funds from Arts Council England with additional funding from Oxford City Council Culture Fund.

We hope that this will become a biennial event.
