Jackson-pate
Tristan Jackson-Pate trained initially as an actor at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. He now makes theatre that’s hopeful and curious about the world, rooted in the belief that stories can change the way we see it. He is Artistic Director for the Award Winning People’s Theatre Collective in Banbury and an Associate Artist of Royal & Derngate and Human Story Theatre.
Tristan has written and directed five original family theatre pieces for PTC (Robin Hood, Cinderella, Treasure Island, Myth and Myth II: Heroes and Halfwits), a storytelling piece for Oxford Playhouse (Story Seekers) a gig theatre piece co-produced with Royal & Derngate (Song of the Summer), a game theatre comedy inspired by the world of Dungeons & Dragons (Sam & Zoe Vs Evermore) and a film exploring the internet and social media (Do You Accept?), which has been screened to thousands of young people in UK schools, presented with interactive online drama workshops.
